Libera

Foundation Libera is an international cultural organisation working at the intersection of music, education, and cultural diplomacy, promoting cross-border collaboration and audience development across Europe and Asia.

About
Foundation Libera

Foundation Libera was founded by the members of Trio Libera -
pianist Marina Savova, oboist Niels Dittmann (Marigaux Artist), and bassoonist Alexander Lenkov (Mönnig Artist), as a natural extension of their shared artistic and educational vision.
United by a deep commitment to chamber music, the founders recognised the need to create new opportunities for emerging musicians, particularly in the field of woodwind instruments, while fostering meaningful connections between cultures through artistic collaboration.Today, Foundation Libera operates as an international cultural organisation and platform dedicated to creativity, collaboration, and exchange. Through its projects and partnerships, the foundation develops and delivers concert programmes, masterclasses, and educational initiatives, supporting artistic development and professional growth for young musicians.A key aspect of its work lies in the creation of interdisciplinary and cross-industry projects, connecting music with fields such as gastronomy, cultural tourism, and the creative industries. These innovative formats are designed to engage new and diverse audiences, expanding access to classical music beyond traditional concert settings.Working across Europe and Asia, Foundation Libera actively promotes cross-cultural dialogue and international collaboration, bringing together artists, audiences, and partners in meaningful and lasting exchanges. At the heart of its work lies the belief in freedom through music - the idea that music can serve as a powerful tool for learning, connection, and mutual understanding in a global context.

Cross-Cultural Composition & Repertoire Development

Foundation Libera is committed to supporting the creation and expansion of contemporary repertoire through international artistic collaboration. A central project in this direction is the commissioning of a new work for Trio Libera, inspired by both Bulgarian and Malaysian musical traditions. The composition integrates characteristic folk elements, rhythms, and motifs from the two cultures, forming a unique musical language that reflects a shared artistic identity. Developed as a cross-cultural initiative, the project highlights the richness of both traditions while creating a contemporary platform for dialogue. The work is performed internationally as part of the ensemble’s concert programmes, bringing this cultural exchange directly to audiences in Europe and Asia.Beyond performance, the project contributes to the long-term development of repertoire that reflects global perspectives within classical music. It also strengthens artistic connections between the two regions and encourages future collaborations.Through this initiative, Foundation Libera positions itself as an active contributor to cultural diplomacy through contemporary music creation.

Musical Wine Tasting

Musical Wine Tasting is a signature project developed by Foundation Libera, combining live classical music performance with curated wine experiences. The format creates a refined dialogue between sound and taste, where each musical work is carefully paired with a selected wine, enhancing both artistic and sensory perception. Designed as an accessible and immersive experience, it introduces new audiences to classical music in an engaging and contemporary setting. The project is realised in collaboration with leading venues, sommeliers, and wine producers, creating a unique intersection between the cultural and hospitality sectors. Presented in Europe and Southeast Asia, including Kuala Lumpur, it has attracted diverse audiences and strong industry interest. Beyond performance, the format facilitates cultural exchange and professional connections between European producers and international markets.By bridging artistic excellence with experiential storytelling, Musical Wine Tasting expands the boundaries of traditional concert formats. It stands as a distinctive example of interdisciplinary cultural innovation.
